1O1O truly genuine 5G network

Enjoy tip-top 5G service from
dedicated spectrum

We are the first mobile operator to provide seamless 5G coverage along MTR lines, which means passengers can enjoy ultra-fast 5G service on concourses and platforms, as well as through tunnels and onboard trains@.

Exclusive spectrum has been deployed throughout MTR areas, and our non-DSS (dynamic spectrum sharing) technology approach means we can avoid using the existing 4G band to provide 5G service. The upshot is 5G users can enjoy ultra-fast speed, while having no negative impact on the 4G user experience.

The 5G network coverage map is for illustration purpose, some locations may not be covered.

1O1O truly genuine
5G network serves you while
enjoying the great outdoors

Whether hiking, camping or cycling, we all seem to be spending more time enjoying the great outdoors these days. This often requires us to consult a map, and we love to share our magic moments while out and about by uploading photos to our various social platforms. Thank heavens 1O1O truly genuine 5G network is there for us, virtually every step of the way.

Our network already covers country parks, hiking trails and camping sites throughout picturesque locations such as Dragon's Back, Tung Lung Chau, Shek Uk Shan, Robin's Nest, the MacLehose Trail, Cheung Sheung, Tai Tan, Pak Lap and Grass Island.

1O1O 5G service has also been extended to major cycle tracks in Hong Kong including the 60-kilometre New Territories Cycling Track Network, Tseung Kwan O South Waterfront Promenade Cycling Track, West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade Cycling Track, Shing Mun River Track and the route from Yuen Long to Nam Sang Wai.

Whatever you may be doing in Hong Kong, 1O1O extraordinary 5G capability is always at your service.

Mobile network coverage and actual customers internet experience within the country parks / countryside will be affected by the special landforms (e.g. valleys, forest, etc.), network conditions and other extraneous factors.

1O1O's industry-acclaimed 5G service has won a succession of awards by an overwhelming margin+. Accolades have been awarded to 1O1O according to a public polling system, as well as endorsement from major media titles and industry entities.

New 5G era promises
endless possibilities

The benefits of our dedicated 5G golden spectrums in the 3.3G Hz, 3.5GHz and 4.9GHz frequency bands rule out any need for dynamic sharing of spectrum (DSS) between 4G and 5G networks. This means 1O1O customers can reap all the extraordinary benefits of our truly genuine 5G network without compromising performance for 4G users.

Customers simply need to use a 5G mobile device compatible with 4.9GHz to reap the superfast speed and other advantages of 1O1O's 5G network at locations such as the Hong Kong Science Park and certain areas of Tai Po and Ma On Shan.

We will continue extending 5G coverage throughout Hong Kong, while making the many wonders of this amazing new mobile broadband technology readily available to our customers at every opportunity.

Ultra high speed

20 times faster than maximum 4G download speeds.*

Massive connectivity

The number of smart devices that can be connected simultaneously is more than 100 times greater than 4G can achieve.*

Ultra-low latency

Latency of less than one-thousandth of a second.*

Three major 5G frequency bands

5G needs spectrum within three key frequency ranges to deliver widespread coverage and support all use cases. Those three ranges are 26/28GHz (high), 3.3GHz to 4.9GHz (medium) and 2GHz and under (low).

High-band spectrum

Mid-band spectrum

(3.3GHz, 3.5GHz and 4.9GHz)

Low-band frequency

(2GHz and below)

UHF broadband for ultra-high transmission speed.

Deployment in the environment:

This is suitable for indoor and high-density environments, and provides ultra high-speed connectivity for many users simultaneously.
